February Message from the East
February 2, 2016
It gives me great pleasure to be able to give a message from the East. As we enter this year, it is my hope and prayer that we will grow in further light for the better of Masonry and our lodge in particular. I would first like to thank all the officers for stepping up to the challenge of their elected or appointed positions in the lodge and for their time and efforts at practicing. Our work will be well received by visiting brothers as well as the home team. I also would like to extend a special thanks to all of our past masters and the others that help to see the works and business of the lodge run suitable and proficient. Your help at practices and coaching is greatly appreciated.
This year we should be seeing some changes in different areas of the lodge. First, we will continue to work on the remodeling of the lodge. (I can’t say enough about the good works done to the kitchen and dining room.) We will also be changing how minutes are kept and our communication with the grand lodge as we move into a software program (Grand View). This should be happening around May. You may also see some small changes in the works of the lodge. These changes will be address at our business meetings as they arise.
Words of encouragement
Brothers, remember that our proper etiquette and attitudes should extend further than the works of the lodge. Our rings and other jewelry seen in public should be a reminder for us to be humble servants to one another and all mankind.
Look well to the East my brothers,
W.M. Roland S. Mitchum
