February Message from the East
February 4, 2015
Greetings from the East:
We had our regular stated meeting and it was very well attended. Our meal consisted, hearty homemade vegetable soup, cornbread and desserts. A big thank you to Danny Able, PM for his work in the preparation of our meals.
First let us pray for our Sick and Distressed and keep these brothers and family members in you daily thoughts and prayers:
Brother Jan Barkan as his Mother In-law undergoes surgery.
Brother Landon and Travis Rish with the continued recovery of their mother.
Brother Ivan Langley as he prepares for surgery next week and the continued healing of his wife Lisa.
Brother Rich Frye as he recovers from his stroke.
Worshipful Boise Martins mother as she recovers from her illness.
And any others we know in our hearts.
The lodge voted to place a full page adds in the Rainbow Girls and in the DeMolay at the cost of $60.00 per add to help support the boys and girls. DeMolay is an organization dedicated to preparing young men to lead successful, happy, and productive lives. Rainbow was created for young women whose fathers were members of the Masonic Lodge, and their friends. Their main focus is more on the spiritual principles of being a kind and caring person. The basic teachings of faith, hope, and charity remain a cornerstone of this dynamic girl’s youth group.
With great excitement the lodge approve an expenditure to begin lodge improvements in our kitchen and dining hall. This is phase one of many plans for improvement in order to prepare for our Centennial celebration. The building committee will meet and to formulate a plan for construction.
